The Rosicrucian Osiris

(Some lines that appeared in my mind on waking one morning last week)

Lucifer stole Light from Heaven to illumine this Fallen Realm.
Was he wrong to do so?
Would you rather be dead already?
At least recognize your jailers – Yahweh and Elohim – for who they are.
Whilst waiting in the underworld for Ra-Hekhaty to get his head together.
Lucifer steals light from the Pleroma
Christ smuggles it in through the blood

Some Interpretation: I recall some months back Alan Chapman speaking, perhaps on his Passport through Hades podcast, about how he’d found some interpretation of Egyptian mythology which identified the Headless Spirit (the Akephalos) with Osiris in the underworld. This immediately set my mind whirling as to the ramifications of this revelation; it seemed to me like it tied all sorts of esoteric fragments together.

If the Akephalos is the equivalient of Osiris in the underworld, then his head must be the sun. And this to me is immediately reminiscent of the line in the Fama (the cornerstone Rosicrucian manifesto from 1614) which famously points out that the tomb of Father C.R.C. is lit by an inner sun…

Although the sun never shone in this vault, nevertheless it was brightly lit by another which had learned from the sun and stood uppermost in the centre of the ceiling.

The line famously makes allusion to the secret process of the alchemists, whereby subtle chemical changes in the gut are caused to occur such that the sunlight stored in food can pass into the bloodstream to create inner illumination.
